What Are All-On-4 Implants?
An All-on-4 implant treatment is a hybrid, fixed prosthesis that restores all of your upper or lower teeth using only four dental implants per arch. Instead of wearing a removable denture or overdenture, this contoured prosthesis functions similarly to a fixed dental bridge. The U-shaped design follows the curve of your smile, permanently replacing all of those teeth at one time.
Because dental implants are stronger than natural teeth, we’re able to pair them together to anchor multi-tooth restorations. This allows us to use as few as four implants total to support an entire arch of teeth.

Exam & Consult
We'll conduct a consult to evaluate your needs. Our thorough exam and 3D CT scan will verify if you are a candidate or if a different procedure would be best. We will additionally go over the financial portion of your treatment. We have financing and payment plans available.
All-On-4 Procedure
On the day of your visit we will utilize sedation so you are comfortable and will not feel anything. Once sedated, our Periodontist will extract any remaining teeth and then make small incisions into the gums to place your implants. Once the implants are in place, we will suture the gums back up and place your temporary teeth. Due to being sedated, you'll need someone to drive you home after your procedure.
Recovery & Final Teeth
Recovery is a crucial part of the success of the implants placed. Your post-surgery recovery is typically about 72 hours. Ice packs, heat and medication can be used to help with comfort. Next is waiting for the implants to fuse to the bone fully, this is called osseointegration. This process can take 3-6 months but is so worth it! Once your implants have fully fused, you'll visit our office for your final set of new teeth. You can now smile with confidence, laugh and eat all the foods you enjoy.

Who Is A Candidate For All-On-4 Implants?
The ideal candidate for All-on-4 treatment is someone who is missing all of their teeth or needs to have their remaining teeth removed for reconstruction purposes. It can also be someone who has already worn dentures in the past but wants a permanent replacement for their removable “plate.”
Because dental implants require adequate bone support, Dr. Castaño will need to use a 3D CT scan to evaluate bone density throughout the jaw and identify the best points for implant placement. In some scenarios, additional therapies such as sinus lift surgery or bone grafting may be needed to prepare the site for implant installation.
How Long Is The All-On-4 Process?
All dental implants require at least 3-6 months to integrate with your bone. Dr. Castaño provides an immediate prosthesis on the same day your implants are installed, so there’s no need to worry about someone seeing you with missing teeth. These temporary teeth are replaced with something more permanent once the implants are fully integrated.
